The Ningbo region specialises in household appliances, plastic goods, tools, stationery, lighting and textiles. It is also the natural port for goods bought in Yiwu, about two and a half hours away by road.
The Beilun terminal handles the world's largest container ships. Air freight leaves from Ningbo airport (NGB) or, more often, Shanghai Pudong (PVG), about three hours by truck.

Our advice
- If you buy in both Yiwu and Ningbo, consolidate everything in our Yiwu warehouse: one container, one customs clearance.
- Ningbo often offers slightly lower ocean rates than Shanghai: ask us for a comparison.
- Consider a 40ft HC for appliances, which are bulky but light.
